Tiffany Reed, director of multicultural programs and services, is no longer with Butler University. Her last day was Nov. 4. Her leaving was confirmed by a university spokesperson and Gina Forrest, executive director for diversity, equity and inclusion.
Forrest sent an email to several people announcing Reed’s departure. Recipients of the email include the SGA executive team, participants of the pre-Welcome Week program Dawg Days, mentors, several student organizations, unity council, and faculty advisors.
The Collegian first gained knowledge of this information through the email, which was forwarded from a member of one of the recipient student organizations.
An automated email from Reed also states that she is no longer with the university.
Reed started working at Butler in June 2019. She oversaw the Efroymson Diversity Center as part of her role as director of multicultural programs and services.
“Please feel free to reach out to me directly if you have any questions regarding the Diversity Center, our programs, or services during this time of transition,” Forrest said in her email.
Forrest will be holding two dinner discussion sessions for students to attend if they have questions about Reed’s departure. The discussions will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Nov. 4 and 5-7 p.m. on Nov. 8.
The Butler Collegian will continue to follow this story as more information becomes available.
