No editorial layout experience is needed, but a basic understanding of at least one Adobe program (particularly InDesign & Illustrator) is a must. Include a brief description of your experience and 1-3 work samples (if you have them).

Hi, I’m a freshman communications major. I don’t have much experience with journalism, though. I used to do the morning announcements on the PA in high school, and I wrote a little bit for my high school band’s newsletter. My friend is senior at Purdue Cal and a journalism major and is going to be teaching me how to construct articles next week. But I’m really interested in working for the Collegian and getting more experience. I’m also very creative and committed and would make a great asset to the team.
