As a predominantly white institution, the racial implications of blackface may not be something that you spend a lot of time thinking about, so before I continue, and if you take nothing else away from this, it has to be said: don’t ever wear blackface. Ever.

“The Impact of 98 Seconds” is releasing the first in a collection of letters from a victim of sexual assault to their perpetrator. The letters are kept anonymous to protect their authors and help them feel comfortable talking about their experiences.
