In the latest installment of the trade war between the United States and Chinese governments, Trump has attempted to ban Chinese-owned apps TikTok and WeChat. While most have focused on TikTok, the potential ban on WeChat would be disastrous for the Chinese Americans who use it to stay connected with each other and with loved ones in China.
