Best spots for trivia in Indy

Good news for everyone who played Trivia Crack in high school; Indianapolis is teeming with restaurants and bars that have weekly trivia. Similar to the brunch craze that overtook urban eateries and Instagram pages, trivia nights are quickly being adopted by various restaurants who hope to attract a bigger crowd. Finally, you can put all of your eclectic knowledge to the test with these top trivia spots.

Books & Brews

7:30 p.m., Mondays, free

Books & Brews has several locations, but the easiest for Butler students would be in Broad Ripple or Mass Ave. The prize for trivia winners here is a $20 gift card to the restaurant.

 

Scotty’s Dawghouse

7 p.m., Mondays, free

Although trivia is new to this location, it would be unfair not to include it in this list. Students of any age can come to this trivia night, hosted by Hambone’s Trivia, and also partake in 75 cent wings.

 

Union Jack Pub

8 p.m., Tuesdays, $3 per person

This Broad Ripple restaurant has fantastic pizza and even better trivia. Yes, it is $3 per person, but the winner takes the entire pot. So, the more people you bring with you, the more money you could potentially win.

Hotel Tango Distillery

7 p.m, Tuesdays, free

This destination may be less well known, and a little nicer than your average Broad Ripple bar, but the weekly trivia with $30 in gift cards.

Brothers

9 p.m., Wednesdays, Free

Trivia night at Brothers is a popular spot for Butler students. Along with weekly Wednesday trivia, there is also a special on 25 cent wings.

 

Tappers Arcade Bar

7 p.m., Wednesdays, $3 per person

If you’re looking for questions that are a little more nerdy and eccentric, Tappers is the place for you. With categories like “Star Wars,” “Firefly” and “The Simpson’s” and related prizes, it’s the perfect spot to geek out about your favorite things.

 

Sinking Ship

9 p.m, last Thursday of the month, free

This Broad Ripple bar is known for their vegan-friendly menu, but they also offer trivia once a month. Prizes here include anything from T-shirts to concert tickets.
