Butler men’s tennis takes down Ball State for sixth straight win

The Butler University men’s tennis team pushed their win streak up to six games against Ball State University on March 29 with a 4-3 victory at home.

The duo of sophomores Mason Dragos and Spencer Lang picked up a victory in the No. 1 doubles spot. However, the pairs in the No. 2 and No. 3 spots for the Bulldogs were unable to come up with victories. The Cardinals took the doubles points.

In singles play, the Bulldogs availed with four victories. Sophomore Aviv Ben Shabat scored a win in two sets at the No. 1 spot. Dragos, Lang and sophomore Ari Gerstein earned wins in singles play to send the Bulldogs over the top.

The team now holds a 12-3 record.

The Bulldogs will take on the Jaguars of IUPUI on April 1 at 3 p.m.
