Mary Graham, Dean of the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, will retire after this academic year. According to an email announcing her retirement from President James Danko, Butler is supportive of her decision and appreciates her nine years of service to the university.
“We wish her well and are grateful for her enduring contributions to the College and the University,” Danko wrote in his email.
Graham made several contributions during her time at Butler that expanded the Pharmacy and Physician Assistant programs. She received a grant from Lilly Endowment Inc. that allowed the Pharmacy building to double in size. Graham also developed a community outreach program through the Pharmacy department that provides medication to communities in need and approved a new undergraduate major with the College of Business to combine healthcare and business studies.
According to the email, Provost Kate Morris will begin the search for a new dean of the College soon.
