Volleyball rebounds over the weekend, gets win against St. John’s
The Butler volleyball team notched their first conference win on Sept. 24. Sophomore outside hitter Anna Logan posted 18 kills and 11 digs in the four-set victory over the St. John’s Red Storm. Butler moved to 12-6.
Volleyball falls in first Big East match
The Butler University volleyball team dropped their first Big East contest to the Seton Hall Pirates on Sept. 23. Sophomore outside hitter Anna Logan once again led the Bulldogs with 21 kills and nine digs.
Weekend preview of Butler football vs. Campbell
This week, the Bulldogs will open their Pioneer Football League conference schedule on the road at Campbell University on Sept. 24 to take on the Camels. The opening kickoff for that game is scheduled for 6 p.m.
Men’s soccer cracks top ten in latest national poll
Wins over the UC Santa Barbara and Oregon State propelled the Butler University men’s soccer team to 10th in the latest national poll. Having started the season unranked, the team made its first appearance in the top 25 last week, ranked 19th.
Men’s and women’s golf continues to trend upwards this season
The Butler University men’s and women’s golf teams began the season looking to improve on their Big East placings from last season. They both start the year with several experienced players returning from last year.

Quiet confidence of volleyball’s Anna Logan propels her to success
Anna Logan was in a rush. Her astronomy exam was at 1 p.m., and she did not want to be late. She tried to hustle out of Hinkle Fieldhouse at 12:30 p.m., but a gaggle of preteens mobbed her. When the sophomore outside hitter isn’t surrounded by her adoring fans, she handles business on the volleyball court. As of this past Sunday, her 279 kills and 316 total points come in first and second in the NCAA, respectively.
