Wendi Thomas, Butler alum and founder of nonprofit newsroom MLK50: Justice Through Journalism, speaks Feb. 17

The 1993 Butler University graduate spoke Feb. 17 in the Johnson Room in Robertson Hall about her role as founder and editor of MLK50: Justice Through Journalism, a nonprofit online news platform that produces journalism that “disrupts the status quo,” as she described it.

Students and faculty travel to National Underground Railroad Freedom Center

A group of approximately 50 Butler University students and faculty traveled to Cincinnati, Ohio to visit the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center museum last Saturday. The trip was organized by members of the Desmond Tutu Peace Lab as well as SGA’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion board.
