Jaia Alexander worked tirelessly last season to come back from a serious knee injury, but now she is healthy and ready to show her talents on the court for the first time at Hinkle Fieldhouse.
Tenley Dowell’s persistent recovery
She didn’t know it then, but it was the ACL in her right knee that snapped and twisted. After impressing enough in two exhibition games to obtain the starting point guard spot, Dowell’s season was finished. After recovering, she looks to make an impact in her sophomore season.

Butler women’s basketball’s Upe Atosu will keep playing for her mom
Growing up, Upe Atosu had to sell beans, hawk bales of corn, and carry a tray above her head to support her family. Her mother helped her play for the Nigerian National Team and move to the United States. Since her mother passed away in 2017, Upe has had to live and play without her.
