BUPD clarifies misconceptions between department, student population
Lack of clarification about police policies and procedures has contributed to a rocky relationship between BUPD and the Butler community, but now crucial information is coming to light.
BUPD Crime Log: Feb. 20 – Feb. 27
Between Feb. 20 and Feb. 27, BUPD reported 14 instances of crime on or related to Butler’s campus. Reports included vandalism, unlawful entry, and theft from a building as well as three separate incidents in Resco.

BUPD Crime Log: Feb. 14 – Feb. 20
Between Feb. 14 and Feb. 20, BUPD received 17 reports of crime on or related to Butler’s campus. Reports included online book sales fraud and three separate incidents in Fairview House; two counts of criminal mischief/vandalism and a count of theft.

A past Butler University student filed a civil rights complaint after she claims the university did not inform her of her options following her case of sexual assault. Members of the Butler community respond after the story broke in the Indianapolis Star on Jan. 29.
