I worry that the past will repeat itself ‒ that, in a year or so, we will have three empty storefronts again. But even if they manage to avoid that fate, the parking garage still has two open spots. These vacancies present an opportunity: Butler should put student-run businesses in the parking garage’s empty storefronts.
Scotty’s Dawghouse was the last Scotty’s Brewhouse location in Indianapolis and the last tenant in Butler University’s parking garage.
Bruce Arick, vice president for finance and administration, said Butler is not sure whether Scotty’s Dawghouse is staying on campus.

After filing for bankruptcy in December, seven Scotty’s Brewhouse locations will have closed by April 14; however, Scotty’s Dawghouse is intended to stay on campus.
Students with parking passes still have to pay for the parking meters outside of Scotty’s Dawghouse and Metro Diner.
