The former Tri Delta Chef arrested in regard to child sexual abuse material in May 2025 was officially convicted of a level four felony of child exploitation with an aggravating factor found and a level six felony of possession of child pornography on Aug. 11, 2026. Both charges were admitted by offender Andrew Horstmann in a plea agreement on July 24, 2026 which ultimately dismissed the other six counts against him.
The six charges dropped included three counts of child exploitation, two counts of possession of child pornography and one count of possession of child pornography with an aggravating factor.
Overall, Horstmann spent nine days in jail of his 1460-day sentence for felony child exploitation and 730-day sentence for felony possession of child pornography. Seven of the days were spent before conviction and two after. The original sentences, 1451 days of the first sentence and 721 days of the second sentence, were put on hold.
Horstmann was placed on sex offender probation for a period of 1095 days, which started on Aug. 11. In Indiana, sex offender probation subjects the offender to computer monitoring and requires the offender to attend sex offender counseling. It also restricts the offender from living within 1000 feet of schools, public parks and youth centers, living within one mile of the victim and having contact with children under 16 unless explicitly permitted in court.
Horstmann was granted the ability to have unsupervised contact with his biological child and the ability to engage in an intimate relationship with his wife, according to the comments on his sentencing.
