Sarah Cohen was announced as the new director for fraternity and sorority life on Aug. 22 via an email from Frank Ross, vice president of student affairs, to the Greek community.
The previous director, Becky Druetzler, left the position on Feb. 1. There has been no official interim Greek Life director since Druetzler’s departure. Kathy Shellog, director of student living and learning, Shannon Mulqueen, community director of university departments, and Angelica Smith, community director of Fairview, supported Greek students in the housing process during the transition period.
Cohen has previously worked as the associate director of student life and learning at Indiana University and as a graduate assistant for fraternity and sorority life at the University of West Florida.
“This is a very exciting time of development and growth in the Butler Greek system, and I look forward to Sarah’s good work and collaboration with our fraternity and sorority leaders in supporting all of our chapters and councils,” Ross wrote in his email announcement.
Cohen will begin her position in the student affairs office on Aug. 26.
