BREAKING: Board of Trustees extends President Danko’s contract

Butler University President James Danko will remain in office through 2020. His five-year contract extension was announced Friday morning at the Academic Year Welcome. Board of Trustees Chair Keith Burks announced the board’s unanimous decision to faculty and staff. Danko took office in 2011 and had one year remaining on his initial contract.

After Danko spoke in Clowes Memorial Hall, faculty and staff gathered on the lawn for a picnic. Danko spoke with The Collegian regarding the announcement.

 

The president’s wife, Bethanie Danko, said she is pleased with the extension.
