Butler named Natalie Boesing its new head women’s tennis coach, the school announced Aug. 7.
Having most recently served as a sports performance coach at the University of Louisville, Boesing also worked as the lead sports performance coach for Arizona State’s women’s triathlon and gymnastics programs.
Grant Leiendecker, Butler’s vice president and director of athletics, praised Boesing’s experience in a press release.
“We are excited to welcome Natalie back home to Butler to lead our women’s tennis program,” Leiendecker stated. “Not only is she one of the most accomplished student-athletes in program history, her experience since graduation has been focused extensively on coaching and mentoring. Her leadership, competitiveness and ability to build genuine relationships will serve Butler, our program and our student-athletes extremely well.”
Boesing not only provides a strong voice, but also has four seasons as a player under her belt. In her time at Butler, she was the number one player in Butler’s lineup and earned All-Big East honors three times.
Boesing is ready to lead the program she played for.
“Being back at Butler and part of this incredible team is a dream come true,” Boesing stated. “Hinkle Magic is real, and there’s no better place to call home. I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to lead the Butler Women’s Tennis program and represent Butler University with pride.”
