Butler men’s cross country participates in John McNichols Invitational

Three members of the Butler men’s cross country team competed in the John McNichols Invitational in Terre Haute, Indiana, on Sept. 15.

Kyle Harris was the first Bulldog to cross the finish line as he logged a time of 26:23, good enough for 37th overall. Roughly a minute later, Nick Robie crossed the line with a time of 27:24 which earned him 65th place. Tyler Bombacino trailed seconds behind Robie and finished the race with a time of 27:36 which earned him 73rd place.

Purdue’s Curt Eckstein won the race with a time of 24:52. This enabled Purdue to win the race with a score of 24 points. Indiana State (97), Bowling Green (100), Cincinnati (106), and Akron (130) rounded out the top five spots.

The Bulldogs will travel to Madison, Wisconsin, for the Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational on Sept. 28.
