On Aug. 25, the Chreece music festival will take over Fountain Square in downtown Indianapolis for its fourth year.

This year’s lineup ranges from underground and emerging artists to well known DJs and collectives. Valee and Black Moon Saturday were both selected to headline the event.

Aaron Marshall, or Double A, graduated from Butler last year and will be performing at the Thunderbird stage at 8:00 pm.

“I’m honored to be performing at my second Chreece this year,” Marshall said. “It’s the only time of the year when all of the artists in the hip-hop scene get together in one place to celebrate the genre we all love.”

Chreece was founded in 2015 by Indianapolis native and emcee Sean “Oreo” Jones as a platform to promote hip-hop from Indiana and the Midwest.

On top of the long list of performances and other attractions there will also be exclusive merchandise from vendors and sponsors as well as much more for festival goers to explore.

Tickets are available on the Chreece website for $30. The event runs from 2 p.m. to 2 a.m.
