Through his photos, Xan did more than capture moments on the court. He inspired us all with his relentless work ethic and genuine love for the game of basketball. Outside of the gym, he was a social justice advocate, contributing to the Black Lives Matter movement by sharing the raw moments that transpired during the protests in Washington D.C.

This summer, Xan had the amazing opportunity to be a photographer at the Nike Peach Jam basketball camp. There he got to take pictures of the nation’s most talented basketball players, as well as a couple of NBA players who attended. His physical presence around Hinkle and the Collegian will truly be missed, but he will continue to live on through the pictures he took and the memories we all made with him.
