On Oct. 18, the Butler volleyball team traveled to Nebraska and fell to No. 11 Creighton. The Bluejays, who are undefeated in Big East action, swept the Bulldogs 3-0. The first set was won by a score of 25-17, as the other two were both won by a score of 25-16.
Brittany Robinson, Anna Logan and Melody Davidson all led Butler with six kills each in the loss.
On Oct. 20, Butler closed out the weekend with a 3-1 win at Providence, improving its conference record to 5-3.
The Bulldogs started strong in the first set, winning 25-20, but in a close second set, Providence evened the match, winning 26-24.
Butler came back in the third and fourth sets, closing out the match with a 25-18 and 25-16 wins. Gregory had 15 kills on 23 attempts and Maria Schorr led the team with 43 assists.
Elizabeth LaBue had 31 digs in the win at Providence, leading her to BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week honors. LaBue averaged 5.71 digs per set over the weekend.
Butler returns home to play this week against Villanova on Friday, Oct. 25 and Georgetown on Sunday, Oct. 27.
