Junior Ally Ross tied for medalist honors at the Charles Braun Jr. Intercollegiate that concluded Oct. 22 in Evansville, Indiana. The Butler women’s golf team finished fourth in the team competition.

Ross shot a three-over 75 in Tuesday’s round, which was the only 18 played after rain canceled Monday’s play. Ross tied for the individual title with Loyola’s Sabrina Hoskins and IUPUI’s Marion DeBove.

The event was hosted by the University of Evansville and was played at Oak Meadow Country Club.

As a team, the Bulldogs finished fourth among the 12-team field. Butler shot a 29-over, 317. IUPUI took the team title at 313 (+25), while Loyola and Green Bay tied for second at 314 (+26). The Bulldogs finished five shots ahead of fifth-place Indiana State.

Katelyn Le, a hometown native of Evansville, finished tied for ninth with a round of 78 (+6) on Tuesday. Claire Edwards and Megan Skoog each fired rounds of 82 (+10) to finish among a group tied for 29th.

Senior Betsy Werner was the top-performing individual with a round of 79 that tied her for 13th. Nicole Jordan and Emma Kelly joined her as individuals finishing in ties for 37th and 41st. Freshman Avery VonDielingen finished tied for 59th.

The Bulldogs are now finished with fall tournament play for the season. The team will return to competition in February competing at the Florida Atlantic Invitational.
