Sigma Gamma Rho Founder’s Week celebrated diversity

The Alpha Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho at Butler University held its Founders Week from November 8-14th. The week celebrated the 93 years since the organization’s founding.

The Alpha Chapter celebrated the week by hosting numerable events throughout the days, all following the theme of “The Seven Deadly Sins.” Events ranged from SexEd Jeopardy, a movie showing of School Daze,to leadership activities with a local Girl Scout Troop.

Tabitha Barbour, member of the Alpha Chapter, said that “We are proud to be the living legacy of our founders vision of ‘Sisterhood, Scholarship, and Service.’ We look forward to more great events next semester.”

The Alpha Chapter is also very excited about the reintroduction of Sigma Gamma Rho merchandise into the Campus Bookstore. “We are thankful to the Campus Store staff and manager, Janine Frainier, for working with us to bring the merchandise back to the home of our organization,” said Tabitha Barbour on behalf of the organization.

Founders Week 2015 was another success for the Alpha Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho. The organization would like to take the opportunity to thank all of their sisters, friends, and the Butler community for supporting the organization during this week of celebration.
