Sabins finishes second, Bulldogs fourth at Georgetown Intercollegiate

The Butler University men’s golf team finished fourth out 12 teams at the Georgetown Intercollegiate from Oct. 15-16.

Junior Logan Sabins finished second in the tournament and was the best finisher for the Bulldogs. Sabins ended at four-under 209 scoring a one-under 70 on Tuesday in the final round. In Monday’s rounds, Sabins carded a 69 and 70. His round on Tuesday included four birdies, making him one of three players to break par for the day.

Evan Quinn of Princeton won the competition only three strokes ahead of Sabins.

Junior Pat Allgeier tied for 17th at the Georgetown Invitational, finishing at five-over 218. Allgeier carded consistent rounds of 71 on Monday and a 76 on Tuesday. Sophomore Michael Cascino finished tied for 22nd at 219 (+6).

Senior Zach Carrabine shot 227 (+14) over 54 holes and finished tied for 45th. Sophomore Augie Hartnagel’s best round was a 78 on Tuesday resulting in a 238 (+25). He finished 64th in the 70-player field.

The Bulldogs will compete next in their final fall event. The Xavier Invitational is on Oct. 22 in Cincinnati.
