The Butler women’s soccer team picked up their fourth straight victory in a 4-0 shutout over Evansville.

After a scoreless first 25 minutes, sophomore forward Paige Monaghan put the Bulldogs on the board with help from senior midfielder McKenzie Muchow.

Shortly after Monaghan’s goal, sophomore forward Halle Stelbasky netted her third goal of the season in an assist from junior defender Maria Collica.

The Bulldogs held a 3-0 lead heading into the half, when senior midfielder Serina Kashimoto scored her seventh goal of the season on a Stelbasky assist.

Sophomore forward Breann Pempek struck last for the Bulldogs in the 88th minute off an assist from Collica, her second of the game.

Sophomore goalkeeper Hannah Luedtke played the entirety of the match and recorded two saves on the day. In their four-game win streak, the Bulldogs have outscored opponents 14-0.

Big East conference play will begin for the Bulldogs on the road against Villanova on Sept. 24. The team’s record heading into the game sits at 7-2-1.
