The Butler Track & Field team was sent to two different locations on the same day and came away with five event wins on Friday.
This was Butler’s fourth and fifth time in action so far this season. Last time out, the Bulldogs finished ninth out of ten schools in the Illini Classic.
Junior Erik Peterson finished third in the Men’s 3000 Meter Invitational at the Galdstein Invitational in Bloomington, Ind.
Junior Tom Curr won his race in the 800 meter run with the time of 1:58.58 at the IPFW Duels in Fort Wayne. Graham Stecz finished right behind Curr with a time of 1:59.04. Freshman Malik Mahmud finished in fourth with a time of 1:59.76.
In the women’s meets, senior Mara Olson won the Women’s Mile Invitational in Bloomington with a time of 4:45.82.
Freshman Jackie Dubnicka finished high in two events in Fort Wayne as she won the women’s mile in 5:09.13 and finished 3rd in the women’s 800 with a time of 2:23.71.
The Bulldogs will have a break between meets as they will wait until January 30 to compete next at the Indiana Relays.
