The Butler softball team dropped to 7-7 in Atlantic 10 Conference play with three losses last weekend.
The team finished 1-3 on the weekend, picking up a 5-2 win against Saint Joseph’s on Saturday. It was also the designated Senior Day for the team’s four seniors.
The Bulldogs (18-22) lost the first game of the double-header to the conference-leading Hawks 5-4, despite a three-run seventh inning.
Butler bounced back and picked up a win in the second game behind the pitching of freshman Sid Gutierrez. It was her fourth straight victory in her last four contests, all complete games.
Freshman Riley Carter led the Bulldogs with two hits.
On Sunday, Butler dropped a two-game series to Temple with scores of 7-3 in game one and 5-2 in game two.
