A trio of seniors extended the Butler women’s basketball team’s undefeated conference run last night at Loyola.
Alyssa Pittman, Brittany Bowen and Chloe Hamilton each scored in double digits on the way to a 64-60 victory at Loyola.
Although the Ramblers (8-9, 2-4 HL) shot 49 percent from the floor and led by two at halftime, the rebounding and free throw efficiency of the Bulldogs (12-6, 6-0 HL) kept them perfect in the Horizon League.
Pittman led all scorers with 19 points and led all free throw shooting by making seven-of-nine. She scored 14 of her 19 in the second half, which helped overcome the 29-27 halftime deficit.
Bowen led all rebounders by grabbing a career-high 14. She also supported with 13 points on four field goals and five free throws.
Hamilton was second in scoring for the game, draining 16 points on six-of-10 shooting. Hamilton also showed a balance of back-court and front-court play by grabbing seven rebounds, dishing out two assists and blocking two shots.
The Bulldogs’ continue their tour of Chicago tomorrow afternoon at UIC (8-9, 3-3 HL) at 4 p.m. EDT.
