The Butler men’s basketball basketball schedule has been released, and the Bulldogs will face stiff competition during its second season in the Big East.

Butler opens its season with three home games, beginning with a matchup versus Maine University Nov. 15.

The Bulldogs will travel to the Bahamas over Thanksgiving weekend for the Battle 4 Atlantis tournament. They will face North Carolina University in the opening game of the tournament. Other teams in the tournament include Wisconsin University, Florida University, Oklahoma University, UCLA, conference for Georgetown University, and UAB.

Butler will try to remain unbeaten in the Crossroads Classic as they face Indiana University at Bankers Life Fieldhouse Dec. 20.

Butler will open conference play with a matinee matchup at Villanova University on New Year’s Eve. The Bulldogs lost in last year’s conference opener with a 76-73 loss in overtime to the Wildcats.

Providence College comes to Hinkle Fieldhouse on Jan. 6 for the conference home opener.

The longest home stand of the season will take place at the beginning of February. Butler hosts St. John’s University Feb. 3, DePaul University Feb. 7 and Villanova University Feb. 14.

Senior night will take place March 3 versus Georgetown University before Butler wraps up its regular season campaign at Providence College March 7.

The Bulldogs struggled to a 4-14 record in conference play last season.
