Advertising Policy

The Collegian accepts advertising from sources within the university and from outside vendors and/or businesses. The Collegian will not knowingly accept any advertisement that is defamatory, pornographic, promotes academic dishonesty, violates any federal, state or county laws, or encourages discrimination against any individual or group on the basis of race, sex, sexual orientation, color creed, religion, national origin or disability. The Collegian reserves the right to reject ads considered distasteful or defamatory. The Collegian reserves the right to edit, properly classify, cancel or decline any advertising. If an advertisement is denied publication, all material will be returned to the advertiser.

All advertising is placed at the discretion of The Collegian staff. Preferred placement or positioning cannot be guaranteed. The views expressed in the advertising in The Collegian may not necessarily be the views of The Collegian staff. Advertising in the paper should not be seen as an endorsement for the product.

Insertion Guidelines

Ads are due no later than 10 a.m. on the Friday before the Monday run dates. Reservations for ad space are due by 5 p.m. the preceding Wednesday.

Ads should be submitted in a digital format. Industry standard PDF files are preferred.

To place an advertisement, send an email to that includes:

Contact information, including:

o   Name of advertiser

o   Payment information

o   Contact name

o   Phone number

o   Email address.

o   Note: ads will not be placed without complete contact information.

Insertion information, including:

o   Ad name/description

o   Run date(s) (print)

o   Frequency, if applicable

o   Ad start and end date (online)

o   Ad size and type, i.e. b/w or color

o   Special instructions, if applicable
