Holcomb Building and Gallahue Hall remain closed after a water main break sent water rushing into the buildings this afternoon. Gallahue is expected to remain closed into tomorrow.

The water line runs adjacent to Gallahue and Holcomb. The break happened around 2:15, flooding the lower levels of both buildings. As a result, there were power outages in Holcomb, Gallahue, Roberston Hall and the old portion of the Pharmacy building.

Students were asked to evacuate the buildings. A notice was sent to out through the emergency notification system today just after 2:30 p.m.

All rooms in Jordan Hall will be unlocked throughout the weekend to accommodate students studying for finals.

The Butler Collegian will continue to update this story as we learn more.
